ADB Community: Veterans Day 5K
On November 6, 2021, ADB Community sponsored the 6th Annual Veterans Day 5K Run/Walk benefitting St. Patrick Center. $148,000 was raised by generous donors, sponsors, and volunteers to help transforms the lives of veterans in the St. Louis area. 1,067 participants banded together to race to end veteran homelessness. Over 40 team members and their families came out to race and volunteer and team members from our New Orleans office participated virtually!
ADB Community is incredibly proud to support this organization and event every year, but this year was special. One of our fellow team members, Josh Przygoda is currently serving our country. He is stationed in Germany and his commander wanted his unit to participate in a virtual 5K for Veterans Day. They chose the St. Patrick Center Veterans Day 5K and we were so excited to have Josh and his unit of 40 servicemen and women attend the event virtually from Germany! The St. Patrick Center helped our team assemble care packages to send over to Josh’s unit. Josh organized a route and his entire unit ran the race together and raised $2,000 for the St. Patrick Center. We are forever thankful for their service and dedication to giving back to our local community in St. Louis.
The St. Patrick Center has several programs dedicated to helping veterans and their families in St. Louis get back on their feet. Project HERO is housed at Freedom Place, an apartment complex reserved for male veterans experiencing homelessness, substance abuse disorders, and mental health issues. Project HERO works with veterans to improve their overall quality of life, in turn, making St. Louis a better place for them to live and work. Click here to learn more.
We are so proud of our people for their dedication to the St. Patrick Center and their Veterans Day 5K. We would not be able to live the life we live without our veterans and active servicemen and women. We thank them for their selfless dedication to our country.
